Chinese Hi-Fin Banded Sharks

This very interesting and beautiful fish is not really a shark but an Algae eater which grows to a length of 24 to 30 inches. Unlike the plecos, this fish is cold water tolerant and will overwinter very nicely in your koi pond. It is a fast grower and should reach a length of 8 to 10 inches in one year.  They reach their full size in 5 to 6 years.  WOW!! can you just imagine how much algae 1 or 2 of these sharks can eat day after day in your pond.  Also they are a very peaceful fish and will get along great with your other pond fish.
